What does 1024x768 High Color (16 bit) mean?

1024x768 High Color (16 bit) refers to your system's display properties. 1024x768 is the screen resolution in pixels and High Color (16 bit) is the size of the color palette being used (also referred to as color depth.)

height:
colorDepth:
pixelDepth:

How do I change my resolution to 1024x768 High Color (16 bit)?

Check to see if you have a QuickResolution icon on your Windows® taskbar. It is an image of a monitor and would be located near your clock as shown (and circled) here:

If you have it, place your cursor over the icon and click on it to display this menu:

Select 1024x768 High Color(16 bit) as shown in the example. If you don't have the QuickResolution Icon on your Windows Taskbar, click on Start-Settings-Control Panel

In the Control Panel window find the icon and double click on it,

this will open the Display Properties window.

Click on the settings tab and adjust the properties to 1024x768 High Color(16 bit) as shown in the example. Now, please continue to discover IDI...
